The number of homes across the nation that do not have home security systems is decreasing with each passing year. In 2010, the FBI reported that over 2 billion homes were burglarized and the number continues to rise as the years go by. Because of this, homeowners have begun getting serious about home security systems. Some of these homeowners have opted to install their own home security system in an effort to save on the expense.
